Presented by our owner Julian Hitch, this miniseries will educate and engage you all on the wonderful goings-on at our beautiful Christmas tree nursery. The videos discuss the tools we use, the preparation we do within the nursery, the types of trees we grow, and why being organic is so important for our well-being.

We have lots of stories, facts, and tips... so watch this space! Please do share with your families as the children will enjoy them too.

VIP Tree Planting

On Saturday 1st May 2021, we were delighted to welcome the Georgian Ambassador H.E Sophie Katsarava M.B.E, the Mayor of Bromley Cllr Hannah Gray, the MP of Beckenham Bob Stewart and Archbishop Zenon to plant 80 organic Christmas Trees with Georgian children here at Magic of Foresters.

Nordmann Fir, which originate from Georgia, are the most popular type of Christmas Trees in the UK. They were first introduced to the UK in the 1850’s, becoming in high demand since the 1990’s.

We are the first registered organic Nordmann Fir grower in the UK.

The trees planted show the importance of international collaboration for humanity. Harvested from organic seeds in Georgia, grown organically to small seedlings in Denmark, and now finding their final home in the UK, these small trees show how much more productive and harmoniously we are if we work together. Just like trees are a vital part of our ecosystem, so is our connection between different people and countries.

The children learned all about how vitally important trees are for our survival. These trees will provide a vital source of air purification for future generations. They are the lungs of our planet, giving us oxygen, storing carbon, and stabilising our soils. Furthermore, spending time with trees is linked to significant health benefits from reducing blood pressure, improving immune systems and mental health conditions.

The tree planting also taught the children about organic farming methods, and how to cultivate a thriving ecosystem, free from chemicals, helping us safeguard not only the trees themselves but the wider ecology for now and for the future.

With a devasting depopulation of insects and bees currently underway, along with a reduction in fertility of the soils - a much-needed evolution in farming practices is needed. Here at Magic of Foresters, we provide a haven for wildlife to thrive.

We are proud to say that Magic of Foresters is a member of Fair Trees, which leads the way in ensuring that the best practices of organic growing and fair-trade practices for workers.

We were also broadcast on Rustavi 2 a Georgian free-to-air TV channel - to watch the full episode click here
